Karl Lagerfeld transformed the Grand Palais in Paris in a snow-white backdrop of sea coral, rocks and shells. In one of these shells was Florence Welch and sang her song “What the Water Gave Me,” while models like Freja Beha Erichsen and Daphne Groeneveld’s creations for Chanel Summer 2012 presented. Variations on the classic Chanel suits, dresses, skirts, pants and blouses advanced by stiff pearly, scale-like ruffles, ruffles and sequins for a shimmering blue dreamy homage to a beautiful underwater world.
